Developing Coordinated Strategies for State Initiative Campaigns
The initiative process has the potential to engage underrepresented communities and advance progressive priorities. However, every dollar we spend fighting right-wing ballot measures in states across our country is a dollar lost increasing the effectiveness of our own initiatives.
To counter this, Ballot Initiative Strategy Center partners with national and state organizations to share information, identify the trends, and inform long-term, collaborative ballot measure approaches. By bringing a national understanding to support efforts around key initiatives in each state, we are better able to more proactively utilize the initiative process.
In addition to supporting our state partners, our work includes conducting in-depth research and analysis, helping state lawmakers better protect the integrity of the ballot process, and providing resources that help all of our partners better achieve success. Throughout our efforts, we aim to advance issues that will maximize progressive goals.
