Building Momentum Across State Lines
The initiative process has the potential to engage underrepresented communities and advance progressive priorities. However, current ballot measure efforts tend to be siloed, with campaigns only focusing on individual states and issues.
To counter this, Ballot Initiative Strategy Center works closely with partners nationwide to share information between states and identify the trends and patterns that inform effective strategies. By working with each national partner to accomplish our joint goals, we are better able to more proactively utilize the initiative process.
Our work includes conducting in-depth research and analysis, helping state lawmakers better protect the integrity of the ballot process, working closely with state partners to maximize the effectiveness of each of their initiative campaigns, and providing resources that help all of our partners achieve success. Throughout our efforts, we aim to advance issues that will maximize progressive goals.
