Michelle Toon
Michelle Toon is responsible for administrative, scheduling and project support for the executive team at Ballot Initiative Strategy Center (BISC) and BISC Foundation.
Before joining BISC, Michelle worked for a small nonprofit in Rockaway, New Jersey to manage and lead a community coalition focused on preventing substance abuse among youth. She played a crucial role in strengthening the coalition’s reach and impact by expanding membership, establishing key partnerships and working to shape the coalition’s long-term strategic plan.
Prior to her coalition work, Michelle was an Associate at Rabin Strategic Partners where she worked as a communications and public affairs consultant for corporations and nonprofit organizations in the field of public health.
Michelle graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor concentrations in English and Communication Arts and Sciences. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia.
Michelle hails from Cincinnati, Ohio and currently lives in Washington, DC.
