Lexington Minuteman: The Committee for Small Government has again collected tens of thousands of signatures to successfully include a question designed to repeal the state income tax Nov. 4. But the possibility that state aid would vanish when the state's income would be reduced by $11 billion has cities and towns on the defensive. On Monday, Lexington's Board of Selectmen voted 3-1 to formally oppose the repeal of the state income tax, passing a motion that states: "Such a step would severely impact our ability to deliver municipal services and quality public education."
