Associated Press: A ballot measure to cut North Dakota's income taxes has been approved for the November ballot despite possible petition fraud. Secretary of State Al Jaeger and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem say one of the petition's circulators wrote down names of people who did not sign the petition. The questioned names included at least one man who died two years ago. A Fargo man and his girlfriend face a misdemeanor charge for allegedly providing false information on a government document. Jaeger says the alleged fraud caused him to disqualify 610 signatures on the initiative petition. But he says it still has 14,635 valid names. That's almost 2,000 more than the minimum needed. Jaeger says a petition review didn't indicate any signature problems with most of them.
