FOX 4KC: A Missouri judge has dismissed claims of conspiracy and constitutional rights violations while upholding the ballot summary for a proposed constitutional amendment dealing with abortion. Critics of embryonic stem cell research are backing a ballot measure to bar the use of public funds for abortion and human cloning. Supporters and critics each sued to challenge a summary written by the secretary of state and a cost estimate prepared by the state auditor. A lawsuit filed by Missouri Roundtable for Life, which supports the proposed amendment, also accused Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, Attorney General Chris Koster and State Auditor Susan Montee of conspiring to treat the measure unfairly. Cole County Judge Patricia Joyce ruled that the claim is without merit and rises to being "frivolous."
