NJ.com: Republican lawmakers and socially conservative activists renewed their push for a constitutional amendment today so that voters -- rather than the legislature -- would decide whether gay marriage should be legal in New Jersey. Momentum is slowly growing among Democrats in the legislature to pass a bill allowing same-sex marriages during the lame duck session following the November general election. The amendment, which would appear on the 2010 November ballot if passed, would propose changing the state's constitution to permit marriage only between a man and a woman.
Sen. Gerald Cardinale (R-Bergen) said Gov. Jon Corzine made a deal with another prominent lawmaker to vote on it during a lame-duck session. "I can say I know that there was a conversation between the governor and a key chairman because I was in the room. After, not before the election, was their determination," said Cardinale. A request for comment from the governor's office was not immediately returned. Corzine has said he would sign a bill legalizing same-sex marriage should it reach his desk. But even if gay marriage passed this year in the Legislature, Republicans said they would still want a question on next year's ballot. "I think that that's a definite possibility," said Assemblywoman Alison Littell-McHose (R-Sussex).

Good web site. I like your writing comments system. I am sorry for the off-topic posting, yet I was pretty satisfied with Djokovic’s play in the final of the Australian OPen this year. The man is probably unequalled. He proved he had been as sturdy as stainlesss steel. Only imagine about he he could defeat Nadal who had been so motivated to win as well as was really so energized up in the 5th set. I am commencing to believe that Djokovic is performing some religious work to bring some forces on his side that really help him secure these kinds of matches against the greatest players in the globe
