Associated Press: Kristina Wilfore, executive director of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, which opposes Connerly's efforts, said his compensation is "out-of-whack with any nonprofit industry standards." "Ward Connerly has used voter fraud and deception to place his initiatives on the ballot and profited off a campaign to outlaw equal opportunity," Wilfore said. Connerly predicts Republican nominee John McCain--who has said he supports the measures--"would ideally like to leave (the issue) alone" if elected. While Ward Connerly’s actions of alleged fraud and deception are brought into question, this has nothing to do with the Constitutional question: Is Affirmative Action discriminatory on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, gender, etc. Regrettably, the answer is YES; it is.
I have worked for equal rights in Southern public buses and lunch counters since the 1950’s, long before Rosa Parks. It’s now time to follow the leadership of Barrack Obama who grew up without his father, without Affirmative Action and without special treatment. Let’s follow his example and earn the respect that we deserve ... like Colin Powell, Bill Cosby, black scholars and our next President.
Let’s condemn those that cause negative stereotypes that hurt us all, such as football players like Travis Henry, Michael Vick and Pacman Jones, basketball players too numerous to mention, and other negative role models.
Let’s get past Affirmative Action and create some real equal opportunity at home with fathers that are committed to their spouses
and will stay work for opportunities for their kids.
Superior site. I like your posting comments system. Sorry for the off-topic post, nevertheless I had been pretty pleased with Djokovic’s play in the final of the Australia OPen this yr. The guy is definitely unrivaled. He proved he had been as strong as iron. Only consider about he he can overcome Nadal who has been so encouraged to gain and was really so pumped up while in the 5th set. I’m commencing to think that Djokovic is doing some faith based work to bring some forces on his side that help him win such matches against the finest players in the planet
