Bangor Chamber opposes excise tax cuts, TABOR II

Bangor Daily News: The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce board of directors unanimously voted Thursday to oppose two ballot questions that the organization says “would be harmful to Maine businesses and the state’s economy.” The board voted overwhelmingly to oppose Question 2, which is the proposed reduction in excise taxes, and Question 4, the TABOR II tax and spending restrictions.  “While we fully support efforts to improve Maine’s business climate and economic development, our board does not believe that either of these ballot proposals would accomplish that,” said John N. Diamond, chairman of the Chamber’s board of directors. “Both proposals contain elements that the board believes could seriously undermine local infrastructure as well as Maine’s economic competitiveness. In light of that, the board believes that passage of either proposal would be detrimental to our region and our state.”

Great web page. Nice commenting system. I am sorry for the off-topic posting, yet I ended up being extremely pleased with Djokovic’s play in the final of the Australian OPen this yr. The man is simply unequalled. He demonstrated he had been as solid as metal. Just think about he he can whip Nadal who had previously been so stimulated to win as well as was really so excited up in the fifth set. I’m starting to believe that Djokovic is doing some faith based work to bring some aids on his side that really help him win such matches against the very best players in the entire world
