SF Chronicle: Californians have dramatically shifted their views on the controversial issue of same-sex marriage from overwhelming opposition a generation ago to supporting it by a five-point margin today, a new Field Poll shows. The latest Field Poll, which examined the changing California electorate over the last three decades, shows that state voters have become far more tolerant than they were three decades ago on some controversial social issues - including abortion rights and assisted suicide, both of which they now overwhelmingly support.
Major shifts on such social issues are tied to demographic changes and in large part to the growing ranks of independent voters, who now make up one-fifth of the state electorate, said Mark DiCamillo, director of the Field Poll. "We look more and more to the opinions of nonpartisan voters to see which way the wind is going, and they're good indicators," DiCamillo said. "They're joining the Democrats in this shift over time on same-sex marriage and abortion, and that's an interesting development," he said. "Republicans, by contrast, show no movement (on those issues) whatsoever." But he noted that Californians haven't moved to more liberal views on two other major issues: They continue to strongly support the death penalty and still back Proposition 13, the landmark 1978 anti-tax measure, by more than 2-to-1 ratios, the poll showed. The poll showed that "the most significant changes" in Californians' social views in the last three decades has been their switch on allowing same-sex couples to marry, the poll showed. In 1977, a Field Poll found that Californians opposed same-sex marriage, 62 to 31 percent; three decades later, the Field Poll shows they now support it, 49 to 44 percent.

The man is definitely unrivaled. He exhibited he had been as formidable as metal. Just imagine about he he could overcome Nadal who has been so motivated to succeed and really was so excited up during the fifth set. Now i’m starting to consider that Djokovic has been doing some religious work to bring some aids on his side that assist him secure this sort of matches up against the very best players in the entire world
