News-Leader.com: Of the 101 initiative petitions Secretary of State Robin Carnahan's office has received for this election cycle, 44 were approved for circulation, and 28 of those have been tied up in the courts. “I often get sued by both sides because they don’t like the way I’ve written it,” Carnahan said. Other lawsuits are filed to dispute the potential cost to the state and other entities, as determined by State Auditor Susan Montee.
